How long did it take for you to not feel your cut from your c-section?
It’s been almost 4 mths since my c-section, but it hasn’t completely healed yet. By that I mean, the incision looks red and I can still feel where the cut is. How long will it be when I won’t be bothered by it anymore, meaning I won’t even know it’s there unless I look at it?

I had a c-section on May 20th & it is still pink (not red) and it still has a numb feeling when I touch it which I have heard never goes away!

You say it’s red.. do you mean the incision is not healed properly or the scar is still red and hasn’t faded yet? If it hasn’t faded yet, be patient, it will over time. It just takes awhile. Since the nerves were cut for your c-section, you will most likely be aware of the scar for a long time, if not always. Many times when the nerves grow back they don’t grow back completely together or they don’t grow together at all and will leave the area a little numb or strange to the touch. I still got feelings like my incision was being pulled 3 years after my c-section. I just had my second and the numbness is worse this time, so I imagine I’ll always feel it or be aware of it. If you are concerned you should talk to your doctor about it.

I have had 3 c-sections and literally have no feeling near my scar. It can take a while for the scar to fade but it will never go away you will always be able to see it and possibly feel it.
